BACKGROUND - Technological developments in the field of drinking water treatment increased from the conventional way up to advanced technology, to encourage entrepreneurs to build the installations of water treatment is used as drinking water to meet community needs for potable water. One example is the development of depots refill drinking water treatment (AMIU) from year to year.


OBJECTIVE - The purpose of this study to determine the quality of drinking water refill bakterioligis terms of the parameters (MPN Coliform and Escherichia coli).


METHODS - Type is an observational study conducted by the descriptive approach. Exchautic sampling technique using a sample that is, all members of the population sampled, a total of 16 samples. Resources raw water used in the depot AMIU is sourced from the PAM and the Well Drilling. examination of water samples carried out in the Environmental Health Laboratory Makassar Polytechnic then the results were compared with the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010 about drinking water quality requirements.


RESULTS - The results showed that there were three water samples depot are not eligible in terms of parameters Coliform MPN for coliform content exceed 0 in 100ml sample of water samples. As for the examination of Escherichia coli based on theparameters, all samples have been eligible for the content of Escherichia coli in water samples was 0 in 100ml sample of water samples.


CONCLUSION - It is expected to the government in this case the City Health Office of Makassar to always conduct supervision and inspection of the sample AMIU routinely every 3 months to ensure the quality AMIU to society.
