BACKGROUND -Basic immunization program is essential to prevent transmission of the disease in infant which can be prevent by immunization. The role of a mother in immunization program is very important, because people closest to the baby and the child is the mother. One of the efforts is the health education, to improve the knowledge of mothers about immunizations infant. 
 
OBJECTIVE -Purpose of this study is to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers in immunization in Posyandu Dandang district. Sabbang North Luwu. 
 
METHODS -This study conducted in June – July 2015. The research design used in this study is quasy experiment with the design of one group pre test - post test. The population in this study are all mothers who come to Posyandu Dandang when carried out research as 33. Samples obtained a total of 33 respondents using total sampling method of data analysis using Mc Nemar test. 
 
RESULTS -The results showed that the value p = 0.002 <α = 0.05, mean H0 rejected and Ha accepted that there is an influence of health education on the knowledge of the mother in immunization. Results of statistical analysis obtained by value p = 0,031 <α = 0.05, mean H0 rejected and Ha accepted that there is an influence of health education on maternal attitudes in immunization. 
 
CONCLUSION -Therefore, for health workers to be more proactive in implementing health education for mothers in terms of immunization for infants. Further research is expected to conduct further research methods and statistical tests different from this study.
